Dying Light Light after dead
Dying Light is an open-world first person game where you play a survivor in a city over-run with zombies. It is extremely gory and definitely not for little kids. The game switches from day to night on a regular schedule. Night is quite terrifying and difficult to survive, as the game's difficulty ramps up. The controls take a bit of getting used to, as jumping uses the triggers on the top of the controller. This was made by the team that created the popular Dead Island series. Dying Light is better in co-op mode, but is a lot of fun solo, too.
